Using a bar or large screw driver, pry the
pulley assembly towards the front of the trac

tor and unhook the belt from the pulley. (See
figure 23.)

Install the new belt by hooking it over the

engine pulley and twisting the belt to the left
as you attach it to the pulley.

7. Test the operation of the tractor to assure the

belt has been installed correctly.

Removing the Rear (Clutch) Belt

1. Remove the cutting deck and battery.

2. Raise and block the front wheels of the tractor

so you can work under it.

3. Depress the clutch-brake pedal and set the

parking brake.

4. Remove the two belt guard pins on the pulley

assembly. (See figure 24.)
