NARROW HEMMER
With neette at its highest position replace re
gular presKT fc^t with narrow hemmer and ti
ghten it secsjreiy in place. Stitch width control
at 0 for
stitched hem or at number 2
for zigzag stitsi^ hem. Set stitch length control
to suit.
For a plain nmr€f¥i/ hem make a 1/8 inch double
fold for about t^o inches along edge of fabric.
Hold
each
end of
the
two
inch
fold,
slip
underneath herrwrwr. Bring fold up into the scroll
of hemmer, dr^ fabric forward to end and
fasten with posit of needle. Lower presser bar
lifter. Gently putt end of thread as you start
stitching.
Guide material sfi^tly fo left and it will take a
double turn
throud^
scroll.
The narrow hem provides an excellent finish for
edges of ruffles or any other dainty work.
