SEAM GAUGE OR CLOTH GUIDE. Use the seam
gauge as a guide for straight seams and even rows of
top stitching along edges of fabric. Fasten gauge with

HOW TO OIL YOUR MACHINE
Your machine should be oiled occasionally to keep
it operating smoothly - how often depends on the
amount of sewing you do. Oil the upper part of the
sewing unit at points indicated by arrows in Fig. 36.
Avoid over-oiling — only a drop is needed at each
point.
