MEETS ANSI SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Sears log splitters conform to the safety standard B71.7-1985 of the American National Standards Institute.
OPERATING CONTROLS
(See figure 7)
LOCKING RODS
—Located on the tongue and
reservoir tank assemblies. They are used to secure
the beam in the horizontal or vertical position.
CHOKE LEVER
—Used to enrich the fuel mixture in
the carburetor when starting a cold engine.
STARTER HANDLE—Used to manually start the
engine.
ENGINE SHUT-OFF SWITCH—
Used to stop the
engine.
FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE—
Used to stop the flow of
fuel into the carburetor.
THROTTLE CONTROL
—Permits selection of fast or
slow engine speed.

shields before starting power tool operation or while performing any adjustments or
