TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
TROUBLE PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
Noisy operation 1 Incorrect V-belt tension.
2, Dry spindle shaft.

1. Adjust tension
2 . Lubricate spindle shaft. See “Maintenance”

3. Tighten Lock Nut (left hand thread) or pulley
set screw.
Bit burns or smokes 1. incorrect spindle speed.
2 Chips not coming out of hole

4 Feed rate too slow.
5. Bit not lubricated (metai working).
1. Change spindle speed.
2. Retract bit frequently to dear chips
3. Sharpen or replace bit.
