If the TW8060 is exposed to rapid changes in ambient (room)
temperature, allow the meter to adjust in the new ambient
environment for 20 minutes to acclimate.
Turning the Meter ON/OFF
Press the ON/OFF button momentarily to power the unit on.
Please make sure there is sufficient battery power. Press and
hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds to power the unit off.
Enabling/Disabling the Auto-off feature
To save battery power, the unit includes an Auto-off feature that
will turn the unit off after 20 minutes. The default factory setting
is Auto-off disabled. To enable the Auto-off feature, press and
hold the Backlight button while powering the unit on until you
hear two short beeps. To disable the Auto-off feature, press and
hold the Backlight button while powering the unit on until one
long beep is heard.
MAX/MIN Functions
The TW8060 includes a Max/Min function. While the unit is
powered on, it will continuously record the maximum and
minimum recorded temperature for both input channels. The
Max/Min temperatures will be stored until cleared by the
user, even if the meter is powered off. To view the maximum
temperature for both channels, press the MAX/MIN button
once. The maximum temperatures will be displayed for both
channels. If you press the MAX/MIN button again, the minimum
temperatures will be displayed. Press the MAX/MIN button again
to return to the main display.
