Status Detect Revision for SmartPad II
“BLUE WIRE - Input 2”
Who will this affect?
1. Any operator using the SmartPad II and an existing switch in the cab to signal to the SmartPad II
that application has begun (Status Detect).
2. When Upgrading an existing Swath XL or Guideline system to the SmartPad II the operator will
need to Switch from the green wire to the BLUE wire for status detect.
How to use Status Detect
1. When using an existing switch in the cab to signal to the SmartPad II that application has begun, two
things must be done.
•
On the SmartPad, under the guidance setup menu the Status Detect option must be
set to 1 Section. See Page 2 of this bulletin for Status Detect setup to 1 Section.
•
See diagram below. When Status Detect is set to 1 Section 12v+ must be supplied to
Input 2 when applying. Connect Input 2 (Blue Wire) to the switched12v+ side of the
master switch (status switch) when the implement is applying.
