2.2.1 Operation of Fire Control/Safety
Four basic fundamentals of safe firearm handling should be applied during any and all activities described in this manual.
Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction until ready to shoot.
Keep your finger off of the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to fire.
Be aware of your target and what is beyond it.
The SIG M400 is equipped with an ambidextrous fire control selector lever commonly referred to as a “safety lever” which
can be manipulated from either the left or right side of the lower receiver. The selector has two (2) positions, SAFE and SEMI.
SAFE - Trigger is locked and rifle
CANNOT
be fired with a normal press of the trigger.
