6.2 unloading the Pistol (magazine empty,
slide open)
- Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
1. Place thumb safety on (safety uP).
2. depress the magazine catch.

3. remove the magazine.
4. Visually and manually check the chamber to ensure the pistol is completely
free of ammunition.
5. depress the slide stop, causing the slide to close.
