Dometic Holding Tanks
Note
Each fixture that discharges greywater into a holding tank must have a water trap seal to
prevent odor from entering the living space .
Note
Only one outlet fitting (1 or 2) can be converted to an inlet fitting if required . One outlet
must remain in original location on tank . Inlet fitting on opposite side of tank (6) should
not be converted to outlet fitting .
Caution!
Boat operator must know local sewage discharge regulations .

Intended use
Dometic holding tank systems provide high-quality, long-lasting equipment to store toilet waste-
water onboard a vessel, efficiently discharge the effluent at approved disposal facilities or in
unrestricted waters, and prevent sewage from spoiling sensitive waters, such as marinas, near
swimming beaches or over shellfish beds .
Dometic holding tanks may also be used for greywater use (water from showers, basins, clothes
washers, etc .), provided that greywater is the only type of water entering the tank .

Intended use
Leakproof design. Dometic holding tank fittings are connected on top of the tank, eliminating the
possibility of leaking due to faulty connections below the level of the tank contents .
Odor-free, long-lasting performance. Tanks are made of linear low density polyethylene, the
best material for holding tank construction because of its resistance to corrosion and odor
permeation . It will last longer than the life of a typical hull .
Implosion protection. Heavy-duty tank and vacuum relief valve combine to prevent potential
damage from dockside pumps that may operate at high levels of vacuum .
