4828 VACUFLUSH BIDET INSTALLATION GUIDE ADDENDUM

FOLLOW THE 4809 INSTALLATION GUIDE EXCEPT WERE NOTED BELOW:

4828 Toilet Bidet Requirements:

2 GPM (7.6 lpm) or larger water pump.
½-inch (13mm) hot and cold water lines terminating in a ½-inch male NPT fitting (connects to

toilet water supply hoses).

12 VDC or 24 VDC through a fuse or circuit breaker of sufficient size to protect wiring. Circuit

board fuse resets by turning power off then back on. Refer to installation wiring codes for
proper wire sizes.

STEP 5: For the electrical cables, and water lines measure up a minimum of 1-inch (25mm) and 2-
inches (51mm) to the left and right of the toilet centerline (fig.4). Mark the hole locations.

Note: The waterline hole diameter as shown in Fig. 4 must change from 1-inch (25mm) diameter to
1-3/4-inch (44mm) to accommodate both the hot and cold water lines.

STEP 8: Cut out the 4-3/4-inch (120mm) diameter discharge flange hole. Drill the two 3/16-inch (5mm)
mounting bracket mounting fastener holes. Where required (floor or wall), drill the 1-3/4-inch (44mm)
hot and cold water line hole and the 1-3/4 (44mm) electrical wiring hole.

STEP 16: Route both hot and cold ½-inch (13mm) diameter water lines from the hot and cold fresh
water sources through the 1-3/4-inch (44mm) hole in the wall or floor and attach ½-inch male NPT
fittings (fig.12).

Note: Shut-off valves should be placed in both the hot and cold water lines to the toilet for
maintenance or repair.

STEP 20: Set the toilet in front of the discharge adapter. Connect the flexible water hose with the red
band to the hot water line and the flexible hose with the blue band to the cold water line. Connect the
5-conductor cable from the flush switch to the toilet’s 5-conductor cable. Connect the 4-conductor
cable from the vacuum generator or vacuum tank, power source and tank full signal to the toilet’s 4-
conductor cable (fig. 13). See the 4800 system wiring diagram on the reverse side of the 4809
installation guide for additional details.

Continue following the remaining steps in the 4809 installation guide.
