is 0000, if needed. Once the PMA8000BT has been “paired” with your Bluetooth device, the TEL distribu-
tion will act as described in § 3.4.
You can answer a call by pushing the TEL button while it is ringing. Calls can be answered from the tele-
phone handset or the audio panel. You can disconnect from either the handset or the audio panel. When a
call is disconnected or dropped, the TEL button indicator will extinguish after a few moments.
3.12.1 Pairing and unpairing Bluetooth devices
The PMA8000BT can be paired with up to eight individual devices. When that number is exceeded, one
device will be automatically un-paired to allow the new device. The device eliminate will be selected at
random by the Bluetooth module. Hint, if your old phone is not recognized by the PMA8000BT, you may
simply need to re-pair.
3.12.1.1Bluetooth Reset
If the Bluetooth stops responding to paired devices, it may be because of corrupted device data. Simply
reset the Bluetooth system as follows:
1.
Power off audio panel
2.
Put the pilot’s headset on
3.
Hold down NAV2 and MKR switches at the same time
4.
Turn ON the audio panel, and continue to hold down the two switches for about least 5 seconds or
there is a "ding" sound in headset, if you do not hear this chime start over.

Audio panel is re-initiation complete
6.
Remove PMA8000BT device from your smart phone
7.
Search for Bluetooth devices from your smart phone

Select PMA8000BT
9.
If password is required try 0000 or 1234
10. Once paired stream music and place phone call
3.12.1.2Paring separate music and telephone devices
It is possible to use a different music source (iPad, iPod with Bluetooth adapter, Bluetooth enabled laptop,
etc.) and telephone. However, the music source must be paired first, before the telephone, if the telephone
also has music streaming capability. Otherwise, the Smartphone will also take over the music streaming.
3.12.1.3Changing access codes
If desired, you can change the 4-digit code needed to pair your device. Hold the button shown in the fol-
lowing table, and turn the PMA8000BT on. You will hear a tone indicating that the code was changed.

3.12.2 Last Number Redial
The audio panel will redial the last number dialed from the paired telephone. When there is no call in pro-
gress, press the TEL button and then press and hold the MKR button for 1 second, or until the telephone
connects and redials.
3.12.3 Speed Dial
NOTE: this feature ONLY works if the paired cell phone has Speed Dial numbers stored. To access the
speed dial keys stored in your telephone, when there is no call in progress, press the TEL button and then
