SYMPTOM
No sound
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The volume is not set to the proper
level.
REMEDY
Turn VOLUME to adjust the sound
level.
Broadcast cannot be received.
- Insufficient antenna input.
Rotate antenna or set for best
reception.
In FM mode crackling sounds occur
from time to time (especially in
weak signal areas).
Noise from other electrical equip
ment with thermostats.
Rotate the antenna for best
reception.
In AM mode continuous crackling
and hiss noises occur.
These noises are caused by light
ning. fluorescent lamps, motors or
engines, thermostats and other electri
cal equipment
The set is used near a TV, computer
and so on.
Rotate the set for best
reception.
Use the set apart from TV. computer
and so on.
- Tape does not seem to record.
Tab(s) may be broken out
Apply a piece of tape over the miss
ing tab(s) space (top of tape).
The type plate is located on the base
of the set.
