Creating Discs with a DVD Writer or
External Biu-ray Drive_________________
While a DVD writer is used in the following explanation, the same operations apply for an
external Biu-ray drive.
n Connect the USB cable and the AC
U adapter.
• T urn off the camcorder by pressing the
(I) button for about 2 seconds.
(T) Connect the USB cable provided
with the DVD writer.

Connect the AC adapter of the
DVD writer.
(3) Connect the AC adapter to this
unit.
• This unit powers on automatically

Refer also to the instruction manual of
the DVD writer or external Biu-ray drive.
This unit turns on and the “BACK-UP”
menu appears.
While the USB cable is connected, the
“BACK-UP” menu is displayed.

■ To play back the created disc
Play back on an AVCHD compatible
device (such as Biu-ray recorder).
■ Compatible DVD writers
• CU-VD50U
• CU-VD3U
■ Compatible external Biu-ray
drive
• You can use BE08LU20 from LG.
• To use the USB cable provided with the
external Biu-ray drive, purchase the
USB extension cable.
