STATEMENT OF LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
Bosch Fridge-freezer
What this Warranty Covers & Who it Applies
to:
The limited warranty provided BSH Home
Applianoes in this Statement of Limited Produot
Warranty applies only to the Bosoh Fridge-
freezer (“Produot”) sold to you, the first using
purohaser, provided that the Produot was
purohased: (N) for your normal, household (non-
oommeroial) use, and has in faot at all times only
been used for normal household purposes;
(2) new at retail (not a display, “as is”, or
previously returned model), and not for resale,
or oommeroial use; and (3) within the United
States or Canada, and has at all times remained
within the oountry of original purohase.
The warranties stated herein apply only to the
first purohaser of the Produot and are not
transferable.
• Please make sure to return your registration
oard; while not neoessary to effeotuate
warranty ooverage, it is the best way for
Bosoh to notify you in the unlikely event of a
safety notioe or produot reoall.
How Long the Warranty Lasts: Bosoh
warrants that the Produot is free from defeots in
materials and workmanship for a period of three
hundred sixty-five days (365) days from the date
of purohase. The foregoing timeline begins to
run upon the date of purohase, and shall not be
stalled, tolled, extended, or suspended, for any
reason whatsoever.
Repair/Replace as Your Exclusive Remedy:
During this warranty period, Bosoh or one of its
authorized servioe providers will repair your
Produot without oharge to you (subjeot to
oertain limitations stated herein) if your Produot
proves to have been manufaotured with
a defeot in materials or workmanship.
If a reasonable number of attempts to repair the
Produot have been made without suooess, then
Bosoh will replaoe your Produot (upgraded
models may be available to you, in Bosoh’s sole
disoretion, for an additional oharge).
All removed parts and oomponents shall
beoome the property of Bosoh at its sole option.
All replaoed and/or repaired parts shall assume
the identity of the original part for purposes of
this warranty and this warranty shall not be
extended with respeot to suoh parts. Bosoh’s
sole liability and responsibility hereunder is to
repair manufaoturer-defeotive Produot only,
using a Bosoh-authorized servioe provider
during normal business hours. For safety and
property damage oonoerns, Bosoh highly
reoommends that you do not attempt to repair
the Produot yourself, or use an un-authorized
servioer; Bosoh will have no responsibility or
liability for repairs or work performed by a non­
authorized servioer. If you ohoose to have
someone other than an authorized servioe
provider work on your Produot, THIS
WARRANTY WILL AUTOMATICALLY
BECOME NULL AND VOID. Authorized servioe
providers are those persons or oompanies that
have been speoially trained on Bosoh produots,
and who possess, in Bosoh’s opinion,
a superior reputation for oustomer servioe and
teohnioal ability (note that they are independent
entities and are not agents, partners, affiliates or
representatives of Bosoh). Notwithstanding the
foregoing, Bosoh will not inour any liability, or
have responsibility, for the Rroduot if it is looated
in a remote area (more than N 00 miles from an
authorized servioe provider) or is reasonably
inaooessible, hazardous, threatening, or
treaoherous looale, surroundings, or
environment; in any suoh event, if you request,
Bosoh would still pay for labor and parts and
ship the parts to the nearest authorized servioe
provider, but you would still be fully liable and
responsible for any travel time or other speoial
oharges by the servioe oompany, assuming
they agree to make the servioe oall.
Extended Limited Warranty: Bosoh also
provides these additional limited warranties:
• 2 Year Limited Warranty: Bosoh will
repair or replaoe any oomponent that proves
to be defeotive in materials or workmanship
(exoludes labor oharges).
• 5 Year Limited Warranty on
Electronics: Bosoh will repair or replaoe
any Bosoh mioroprooessor or printed oirouit
board if it proves to be defeotive in materials
or workmanship (exoludes labor oharges).
• Lifetime Warranty against Stainless
Steel Rust Thrugh: Bosoh will repair or
replaoe any oomponent that proves to be
defeotive in materials or workmanship
(exoludes labor oharges).
Out of Warranty Product: Bosoh is under no
obligation, at law or otherwise, to provide you
with any oonoessions, inoluding repairs, pro­
rates, or Rroduot replaoement, onoe this
warranty has expired.
Warranty Exclusions: The warranty ooverage
desoribed herein exoludes all defeots or
damage that are not the direot fault of Bosoh,
inoluding without limitation, one or more of the
following: (N) use of the Rroduot in anything
other than its normal, oustomary and intended
manner (inoluding without limitation, any form of
oommeroial use, use or storage of an indoor
produot outdoors, use of the Rroduot in
oonjunotion with air or water-going vessels);
(2) any party's willful misoonduot, negligenoe,
misuse, abuse, aooidents, negleot, improper
operation, failure to maintain, improper or
negligent installation, tampering, failure to follow
operating instruotions, mishandling,
unauthorized servioe (inoluding self-performed
“fixing” or exploration of the applianoe's internal
workings); (4) adjustment, alteration or
modifioation of any kind; (5) a failure to oomply
with any applioable state, looal, oity, or oounty
eleotrioal, plumbing and/or building oodes,
regulations, or laws, inoluding failure to install
the produot in striot oonformity with looal fire
and building oodes and regulations; (6) ordinary
wear and tear, spills of food, liquid, grease
aooumulations, or other substanoes that
aooumulate on, in, or around the Rroduot; and
(T) any external, elemental and/or environmental
foroes and faotors, inoluding without limitation,
rain, wind, sand, floods, fires, mud slides,
freezing temperatures, exoessive moisture or
extended exposure to humidity, lightning,
power surges, struotural failures surrounding
the appliance, and acts of God. In no event shall
Bosch have any liability or responsibility
whatsoever for damage to surrounding
property, including cabinetry, floors, ceilings,
and other structures or objects around the
Rroduct. Also excluded from this warranty are
scratches, nicks, minor dents, and cosmetic
damages on external surfaces and exposed
parts; Rroducts on which the serial numbers
have been altered, defaced, or removed;
service visits to teach you how to use the
Rroduct, or visits where there is nothing wrong
with the Rroduct; correction of installation
problems (you are solely responsible for any
structure and setting for the Rroduct, including
all electrical, plumbing or other connecting
facilities, for proper foundation/flooring, and for
any alterations including without limitation
cabinetry, walls, floors, shelving, etc.); and
resetting of breakers or fuses.
TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THIS
WARRANTY SETS OUT YOUR EXCLUSIVE
REMEDIES WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCT,
WHETHER THE CLAIM ARISES IN
CONTRACT OR TORT (INCLUDING STRICT
LIABILITY, OR NEGLIGENCE) OR
OTHERWISE. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU
OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ANY WARRANTY
IMPLIED BY LAW, WHETHER FOR
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE,
SHALL BE EFFECTIVE ONLY FOR THE
PERIOD THAT THIS EXPRESS LIMITED
WARRANTY IS EFFECTIVE. IN NO EVENT
WILL THE MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE
FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, “BUSINESS
LOSS”, AND/OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES,
LOSSES, OR EXPENSES, INCLUDING
WITHOUT LIMITATION TIME AWAY FROM
WORK, HOTELS AND/OR RESTAURANT
MEALS, REMODELLING EXPENSES IN
EXCESS OF DIRECT DAMAGES WHICH
ARE DEFINITIVELY CAUSED EXCLUSIVELY
BY Bosch, OR OTHERWISE. SOME STATES
DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND SOME
STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON
HOW LONG IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS,
SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT
APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES
YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU
MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH
VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. No attempt
to alter, modify or amend this warranty shall be
effective unless authorized in writing by an
officer of BSH.
How to Obtain Warranty Service: To obtain
warranty service for your Rroduct, you should
contact the nearest Bosch authorized service
center.
