USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
REMOVING THE REFRIGERATOR/
FREEZER ACCESSORIES
The Kenmore Elite Side-By-Side Refrigerator accessories
can be easily removed and/or rearranged to maximize the
use of interior space and provide ease of cleaning.
Door Bins (Refrigerator and Freezer)
A CAUTION
Before removing any accessories, remove all food
from the accessory being removed. This will avoid
breakage and/or personal injury.
Shelves (Refrigerator and Freezer)
A CAUTION
The tempered glass shelves are heavy. Use special
care when removing them to avoid breaking them
and/or personal injury.
To remove and relocate:
1. Slide the shelf out until the shelf support lines up with
the opening in the side shelf retainer as shown.
2. Using both hands, tilt the shelf by lifting the right side
as shown; then carefully remove the shelf from the
refrigerator or freezer compartment.

3. Holding the shelf in a tilted position, insert the left side
of the shelf on the desired shelf support; then lower
the right side of the shelf until it is also supported.
A CAUTION
Injury may occur if the door bins are not firmly
installed. Do not allow children to play with the bins.
Sharp corners of the bins may cause personal injury.
NOTE: DO NOT adjust a bin full of food.
To remove and relocate:
1. Lift up on the bin to unlatch; then pull it straight out to
remove from the door.
2. After relocating the bin, slide it in the door above the
desired location and then push down until it stops.
This will lock the bin in place.
Drawers/Crispers (Refrigerator and Freezer)
To remove and replace a drawer:
1. Slide the drawer out until it stops.
2. Slightly lift up on the front of the drawer and slide it
out to remove it from the refrigerator or freezer
compartment.
