Console, you can deploy the Kofax Front-Office Server front panel software to the MFP
and open the MFP’s status page.
The number of MFPs that you can use with Kofax Front-Office Server depends on your
license. You can add and remove MFPs from Kofax Front-Office Server whenever needed.
Custom Kofax Front-Office Server Front Panel
The Kofax Front-Office Server front panel provides buttons to send documents to Kofax
Front-Office Server destinations and Kofax Front-Office Server Web Client.
KFS Inbox
The KFS Inbox feature enables you to send the document to your or another user’s Kofax
Front-Office Server Web Client Inbox. In the Web Client, you can add and remove pages,
merge documents, add notes and redactions, and rotate pages before sending documents
to destinations. If you log on with the Kofax Front-Office Server front panel software, your
own user name is already selected when you press KFS Inbox, or you can select another
user.
Shortcut Buttons
Shortcut buttons enable you to send documents directly to destinations from the MFP. As
an administrator, you can define global shortcuts that are available to anyone who uses the
MFP. Use Kofax Front-Office Server Administration Console to create shortcuts, assign the
shortcuts to a profile, and then deploy the profile to display the buttons on the MFP front
panel. An MFP can use one profile at a time.
When you start the Kofax Front-Office Server front panel, a Kofax Main Menu appears
with buttons to log on, scan with a coversheet generated from Kofax Front-Office Server
Web Client, and send documents to global shortcuts (Figure 1).

You can also create your own personal shortcuts with Kofax Front-Office Server Web
Client. When you log on at the Kofax Front-Office Server front panel, buttons are added for
your personal shortcuts as shown in Figure 2. The menu also displays global shortcuts, the
KFS Inbox button to send documents to a Kofax Front-Office Server Web Client Inbox, and
the Coversheet button.
