Network Coordinator Installation and
Configuration
3.1 Network Coordinator Installation
The network coordinator manages the wireless signals between Inovonics end
devices, high power repeaters, and the Radius server.
To install the network coordinator:
1
Mount the network coordinator per the network coordinator’s installation
instructions.
• Generally, it’s best to mount the network coordinator in an elevated
position, away from metal.
2
Plug the network coordinator’s power cable into a surge protector.
Caution:
It is highly recommended that the network coordinator be plugged into a UPS
battery backup.
3
Plug the network coordinator’s data and power cable into COM 1 on the
Radius server.
• The COM port settings for the Radius process creation are 9600/8/1/N.
The port settings are set by default.
