Radius Server Installation and Configuration
2.1 Radius Server Installation
To install the Radius server:
1 Use the included mounting hardware to mount the server in a safe,
temperature controlled location.
Caution: The Radius server is equipped with an active temperature monitoring system.
To ensure proper operation of the Radius server, please ensure that the
ambient temperature not exceed 100 degrees farhenheit.
2 Connect UPS battery backup and power.
Caution: The server must be connected to a UPS battery backup to prevent damage
from inadvertant power sources.
3 If desired, connect the server to the LAN using a standard CAT 5 ethernet
cable.
Note: For more information, see “Connect to the Radius Server via Microsoft® Remote
Desktop” on page 13.
4 If desired, connect the server to a local monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
5 Power on the Radius server.
