adjust the vciume level on the system.

Press and hold during play.

•During program play {page 4). these buttons

are used to skip forward or back through the
programmed segtiencs of Iracks.

• During random play (page 4), the skip buttons

canrxit be used to skip back to tracks that were
played previously In the random sequence.

• During program play, random play or 1-track

rejoeat play (page 4), search operation Is limit­

ed to the current Irack only.

HOLD Function

For your reference:

“no ¿¡^ " indication
This indication appears for about 3D seconds if
[►II] IS pressed when no disc is loaded m the unit or if
Ihe disc is not properly secured.

Indication

This mctioatlcn appears tor about ID minutes when the
cover Is opened. (However, the Indication does not ep-
paar when the unit Is powered otf.)

Auto power off function

It the unit la left In slop or paused status for approxl-
mataly 10 minutes, Ihe unit powers itself off auto-

maticelly in order to prevent the bafleries from

running down,

(It no disc is loaded in the unit, it powers itself off in
30 seconds.)

Rerrtovrng discs

Press [■,OPR OFF] to slop play and disc's rota­

tion.

Slide [OPEN] to open the

lid.

Press [PUSH] to release the disc.

Do not step the di&c by hand or 1^ to femove it before it

slops rcletlng. This can damage CDs.

Never insart foreig n ob sets I nto the unit body.

This function causes the unit to Ignore shod, accidental
button presses. (The disc lid can still be opened and
closed.)

The HOLD function prevents the

follDwing:

• Powering on the unit accidentally (which can cause

the batteries to njn down).

• Play being cut off unexpectedly rn the middle of a se­

lection.

The unit and wired remote control have HOLD luno-
llons, each of which works Independently.
(The HOLD indicator turns green when the remote corv
Irol is in HOLD position.)

To use the HOLD function

Set [HOLD] to the HOLD posilion.

When the unit is in HOLD status, pressing any button
causes the indication 'ha ■' d" to appear on the display.
When the unit is powered off
The 'fioi'J" indicalion appears only when [►ll] is

pressed.

Before operating Ihe buttons
Be sure to riKive [HOLD] to release the unit from Ihe
HOLD mode.
