Power Supply Preparations

Using the AC adaptor
Connect the AC adaptor supplied.
•The conliguralKin of the AC adaptor differs according
to ttie area.
•The unrt is in the standby conditinri wtien the AC
adaptor is connected. The prrnnary circuit is always
live' as long as the AC adaptor is connected to an
electrical oullet.
Using rechargeable batteries
[not included)
Obtain Ihe optional rechargeable batteries, {page 6)
For United Kingdom:
•Optional batteries (P-3ÜAVE/ÏÏB)
For others:
•Optional batteries (P-3GAVT/2B)
Be sure tn recharge the baitteries before using them.
The unit cannot be ir&ed to charge nechargeab4e batter-
ies other than those speciticalty designed for il.

Recharging starts and the *^3' charging indicator

When the rechargeable baitteries fully recharge the
chargirig indicator disappears.
When recharging is compteten unplug the
AC adaptor from the household mains
socket and the DC IN jack.
Using dry^ceM batteries

Alter disoorinecling the AC adaptor, insert two LFI6
(UM-3) alkaline batlariaa.
The procedure tor Inserting and removing dry-cell
batteries is identical to that for rechargeable bat
teries.
Battery indicator
• Rechargeabla batleriea have a service life of approxi
mately 3D0 charge-discharge cycles. If the operating

than it used to be, the batiery has reached the end of
rts service life and should ba replaced.
• Recharging ma^ only be performed when Ihe unit is

•Tils AC adaptor and rechargeable batteries may be
come warm while recharging is in progress. This is not
a malfunction.

This indicator flashes cn and off when fhe batteries are
almost oui of power. Power is cut off completely a ahorl
while later.
Rscbargsable batteries: Recharge balteries.
Dry-ceir batteries: Replace batteries with new ones.
•The length of time Iha unit will continue to oparate be-
iween when the battery indicator starts flashing and
when fhe power is cut off differs depending on the
type of batteries used.
•The battery indicalor may not flash if rechargeable
batteries other than those designated by Panasonic
are used.
The SL-SX221C comes with a oar adaptor. Be sure lo
use ftie adaptor specially designad for this model.

Ba sure to obtain the car adaptor (SH-CDC9) for SL-
SX270 and SL-SX220, available as an optional acoes-
sory.
