You can now move the cartridge manually to its furthest left and right position to make sure the tubes are free from
fouling and the printhead can reach these positions without the tubes becoming tight.
When you are satisfied that the tube assembly is correctly
installed you can fit the final part of the centre tube clamp.
This is how the final part should look.
You can now replace the power lead and the printer will move the
printhead into the correct position and start the initial ink charge.
During this time you may notice small pockets of air moving along
the tubes. This is perfectly normal and will not affect the operation
of the Easy Flow system. When the printer has settled, perform a
nozzle check and see if all the colours are free of gaps. You may
need to run the head clean rou
tine a couple of times to fully
discharge the air in the printhead (
not the air in the tubes—they are
irrelevant
). If it is not giving perfect nozzle checks after 2-3 head
cleans leave the printer to settle for an hour and test the nozzle
check again.
Re-filling Bottles
Do Not Allow The Ink To Fall Below The Red
Line On The Bottles
Lay the bottles down and remove the filter cap of the
colour you wish to re-fill.
Use the syringe (with the small nozzle attachment you
find in the handle) to fill this colour. Note you cannot
fill it further than the hole allows (do not stand it up so
you can fill the smaller chamber—this system works
with the smaller chamber partially empty).
Clean the syringe between any further colours you may
wish to fill.
Return the bottles to the upright position and replace
any filter caps.
