3. Place the Hatch Cover over the hatch and fasten the Hatch Rope over the lip in the cover. Make sure the
hatch is centered and straight. See Fig.#3

4. With the cover centered over the hatch, insert a hinge into each side of the cover, on the stern end. Us
the holes in the hinge as a guide and drill out the holes with a 3/16” bit. See Fig.#4

5. Insert Cherry Rivets into each hole. With your Rivet Gun, pop each rivet. See Fig. #5. If the rivet does
not break flush with the top of the rivet head, remove the exposed rivet post with a pair of pliers by
rocking the exposed piece back and forth and it will break flush. If there is too little of the exposed rivet
post to grab with the pliers, use you file and file down the exposed rivet post until flush with the rivet
head.
