TOOLS REQUIRED: Drill, 1” Hole Saw, 13/64” Drill Bit, Pliers, Tape Measure, Marking Pencil
Please read and understand all of the instructions before attempting installation

•
Locate the indented oval shape on the left side of the boat just behind
the cockpit rim. Using a 1” hole saw drill a hole in the center of the
oval. Fig. #1
•
Insert the Old Town Drain Plug (A)
•
Using the holes on each side of the drain plug as a guide, drill these
two holes with a 13/64” bit.
•
Insert a Rivet (B) into each hole. Fig. #2
•
Add TWO washers (C) to the underside of each rivet and with a rivet
gun, pop the rivets.
* Note – If the rivet does not break flush after using the rivet gun grab the
exposed rivet post with a pair of pliers and wiggle the post back and forth
until it breaks off. There should be no part of the post extruding past the head
of the rivet.

Make a mark with your pencil 3” toward the Stern from the Deck
Fitting just behind the cockpit on the right hand side of the boat.
Make your mark on the flat spot just down from the ridge that runs to
the Stern end.

Drill your mark with a 1” hole saw. Fig.#3

Insert the Old Town Drain Plug (A)
•
Using the holes on each side of the drain plug as a guide, drill these
two holes with a 13/64” bit.
•
Insert a Rivet (B) into each hole. Fig. #4
•
Add TWO washers (C) to the underside of each rivet and with a rivet
gun, pop the rivets.
* Note – If the rivet does not break flush after using the rivet gun grab the
exposed rivet post with a pair of pliers and wiggle the post back and forth
until it breaks off. There should be no part of the post

head of the rivet.
