15 EIDE Interface (P-ATA)
The MOPSlcdLX features one EIDE interface (UDMA33/66 mode) that can drive two hard disks. When two
devices share a single adapter they are connected in a master/slave, daisy-chain configuration. If only one
drive is connected you must set it as master.
15.1 Connector
The EIDE interface is available through connector X15005 (44 pins). This interface is designed in 2 mm grid
for optimal connectivity to a 2.5” hard disk. You can use two cables to directly connect a hard disk in a 2.5”
form factor (KAB-IDE-2MM, part number 96021-0000-00-0) or a 3.5” form factor (KAB-IDE-25, part num-
ber 96020-0000-00-0).

To protect the external power lines of peripheral devices make sure that
- the wires have the right diameter to withstand the maximum available current.
- to enclosure of the peripheral device fulfills the fire-protecting conditions of IEC/EN 60950.
