Use the lens built-in macro feature for
close-up
photography
of
plants
and
insects.
• Under dark or back-lit conditions when the AE
indicator in the viewfinder blinks, please use
the flash. (See page 33)
Set the command dial to A .
The picture-taking procedure is the same as with
the fully automatic mode. (See page 21)
Get as close to the subject as your lens permits.
With a zoom lens, you can achieve a higher minimum focusing distance magnification by
setting the lens to telephoto.
For basic macro photography we recommend Canon's macro lenses, and for advanced
macro photography, we recommend you use Canon's macro lenses and the ML-3 macro
ring light.
