Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause and Remedies
TV button doesn't turn on TV. Remote has not been properly programmed. See Programming
the Remote on page 30.
Batteries could be weak. Check the batteries and replace them,
if necessary.
Ensure that the side door of the WebTV port is closed securely.
No picture, no sound. Make sure the power cord is connected.
Check that the correct TV/Video setting is selected.
When typing on a keyboard, letters appear
twice instead of once. The keyboard is transmitting by IR and through the cable.
Disconnect the keyboard cable.
