Phone Number and Credit Card Information
□ To use the number buttons on the remote to type numbers, set the CH/
NUMBER switch to NUMBER. You don't have to insert spaces or
hyphens.
□ If you connected your Internet Terminal to a dedicated phone line, don't
enter that number here. Enter the number at which you receive calls.
□ To select a credit card, highlight the button next to the type of credit card
you want to use and press
Internet Name
Your Internet name acts as your e-mail address. It can contain letters and
numbers, but must start with a letter. For example, T42 is okay, 24T is not. It
must contain at least three characters, and no more than 15. It cannot contain
spaces or punctuation marks.
Completing the Sign-Up Process
When you complete the last sign-up page, WebTV displays a page that
contains all the information you have entered.
To correct a mistake on a previous sign-up page:
1 Highlight the text box that contains the information you wish to change
and press The page on which you originally entered the information
appears.
2 See "Erase or change a character" on page 12 for details on how to make a
correction.
3 Highlight CONTINUE and press to return to the sign-up information
page. You may need to repeat this step more than once to reach the
sign-up information page.
To complete the sign-up process:
Highlight CORRECT on the sign-up information page and press The
WebTV Home Page will soon appear.
To disconnect from WebTV and turn off your TV:
Press W'EB and then press TV on the remote control.
