Front Panel Controls
POWER
Indicator
Indicates whether the Internet Terminal is on or off.
CONNECTED
Indicator
Flashes when the Internet Terminal is connecting to
WebTV and when receiving new information. Remains lit
while in use.
MESSAGE
Indicator
Lights up to indicate you have an unread message.
SMART CARD
Slot
Allows you to use a Smart Card when the technology
becomes available. Smart Cards, which are being
developed by the finance industry, are credit cards with an
added computer chip that stores personal information.
Smart Cards will make transactions conducted on the
Internet, such as buying products, paying bills, and
banking, safer and more convenient. Additional
accessories may be required.
