Select one of the options under Display Mode. Options may be
grayed out when an external device is not connected.
Display modes Functions
Monitor Displays only an external display connected to the
Monitor connector on your computer.
LCD
Monitor/LCD
TV*
Displays only the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) on
your computer.
Displays both an external display connected to the
Monitor connector on your computer and the LCD
simultaneously.
Displays only a TV or projector connected to the Video
Out connector on your computer.
*Not available on all models.

You cannot use the following displays simultaneously;
J The computer's LCD and an external display using the Video Out connector.
J External displays using the Monitor connector and the Video Out connector.
You can adjust the refresh rate when you select Monitor as the display mode.
Jf you want to display images on the TV that is connected to the Video Out connector, do
not connect any equipment to the Monitor connector.
Some displays do not support using the computer's LCD and an external display
simultaneously.
When the computer is connected to a TV and the screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768, the
screen image may flicker. If this occurs, seled a lower resolution setting.
