Combinations and Functions with the Fn Key

Display power status
functions
Puts the system into System Suspend mode, a
power management state. To return the system
to the active state, press any key or press the
power switch on your computer.
Displays the power status, as in the two
examples below:

Speaker switch
Toggles the built-in speaker off and on.

Adjusts the built-in speaker volume.
To increase volume, press Fn+F4, then t or -

Brightness control
Fn+ 3 (F6)
Contrast control
Adjusts the brightiwss of the LCD.
To increase light inteitsity, press Fn+F5 and then

Switch to the
external display (F7)
To increase the contrast, press Fn+F6 and then
the.down or left arrow key. To decrease the
contrast, press Fn+F6 and then the up or right
arrow key.
Toggles through the iJCD, external display
(coimected to the O Monitor cormector) and
both LCD and exterrtal display.

Select video out

Disconnects from the docking station when the
power is on. (Not available on all models.) Make
sure there is a charged battery in the computer
before you disconnect the docking station.
