Keep the power contacts clean by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth or
a cotton swab. Dirty power contacts can cause poor contact and de-
crease charging efficiency.
q Infrared communication port
Align this port with the infrared communication port of the Rugged PDA for IrDA data
communication.
w The Rugged PDA detection switch
This switch detects when the Rugged PDA is correctly mounted on the Bridge Satellite
Cradle.
e Status lamp
POWER OFF: Power OFF
Green: Power on, the Rugged PDA is mounted correctly
Red: Power on, the Rugged PDA is not mounted
DATA Indicates the data communication status.
Off: No communication
Flashing Green: Communicating
Red: Bridge Satellite Cradle connection problem
LINE Off: System not operational
Green: System operational
r Power contacts
These terminals supply power to the Rugged PDA.
t Power switch
Turns Bridge Satellite Cradle power on and off.
y Power adaptor port (DC IN 12V )
Connect the AC adaptor's power cord here.
u RS-422 ports (C-OUT, C-IN)
Use these ports when connecting up to eight Bridge Satellite Cradles in series.
i RS-232C port (RS-232C)
This port is used when connecting to a PC for data transfer.
o USB port ( )
This port is used when connecting to a PC for data transfer.

Use these switches to configure Bridge Satellite Cradle basic settings (See page 111).
