Hard Drive Cage
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the
safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.
Removing the Hard Drive Cage
1 Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2 Remove the hard drive (see "Removing the Hard Drive" on page 13).
3 Remove the hinge covers and center control cover (see "Removing the
Hinge Covers and Center Control Cover" on page 45).
4 Remove the keyboard (see "Removing the Keyboard" on page 55).
5 Remove the display assembly (see "Removing the Display Assembly" on
page 63).
6 Remove the palm rest (see "Removing the Palm Rest" on page 75).
7 Remove the screw securing the hard drive cage to the computer base.
