Removing the Coin-Cell
Battery

CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS settings to
default. It is recommended that you note the BIOS settings before
removing the coin-cell battery.
Prerequisites
1 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the Stand
Assembly ”.
2 Remove the back cover .
3 Remove the system-board shield .
4 Remove the heat sink .
Procedure
1 Locate the battery socket on the system board .
2 Using the tab on the protective cover, lift the cover off the coin-cell
battery.
