Removing the Primary Hard-Drive

CAUTION: To avoid data loss, do not remove the hard drive while the computer is
On or in Sleep state.
CAUTION: Hard drives are fragile. Exercise care when handling the hard drive.
Prerequisites
1 Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 12.
2 Remove the fan shroud. See "Removing the Fan Shroud" on page 14.
3 Remove the front bezel. See "Removing the Front Bezel" on page 23.
4 Remove the drive cage. See "Removing the Drive Cage" on page 26.
Procedure
1 Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive brackets to the primary hard-drive.
2 Push and slide the primary hard-drive off the hard-drive brackets.
