Connecting with a USB cable
Use the separately sold specialized USB cable (PD79920-0S).

Turn off the power to the printer and the device to be connected.

Insert the connector of the cable straight into the USB port on the
printer.
* Make the connection being careful about the orientation of the connector. Trying to
connect the cable forcibly causes accidents.

Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on the device to
be connected.
If the connection is done using a USB cable, select USB interface in Interface Selection
Mode.

Turn on the power to the printer and the connected device.
