Subscriber Identity Module
Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM) identify users uniquely through an International Mobile Subscriber Identity.
Installing the SIM

Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.

In the battery bay, slide the SIM into the compartment.
Removing the SIM
Press the SIM into the slot to release it. When it is partially ejected, remove the SIM from the battery bay.
Wireless Mini-Cards
Your computer supports three Mini-Card slots:

Two full Mini-Card slots — for WWAN, WPAN, UWB, and Bluetooth
®
l
One half Mini-Card slot — for WLAN
The types of Mini-Cards supported are:
l
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) — Half Mini-Card
l
Ultra Wide Band (UWB) — Full Mini-Card
l
Mobile broadband or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) — Full Mini-Card
l
Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) or Internal Card with Bluetooth Wireless Technology — Full Mini-Card
