To Release the AE Lock
Operate a button other than the

button.

Re-aim the camera to compose the shot as
desired and press the shutter button fully.
You can use the FE lock when using the flash (

Changing the shutter speed and
aperture value combination
The automatically selected combinations of shutter speeds
and aperture values can be freely changed without altering
the exposure to shoot images.

Turn on the LCD monitor.

Focus on the subject on which you wish
to lock the exposure.

modes, the Safety Shift function works
if [Safety Shift] is set to [On] (

Press and hold the shutter button
halfway and press the button.

The exposure setting will lock and the

appear on the LCD monitor.

Press the or button until the
desired shutter speed or aperture value
is reached.

Recompose the image and shoot.

The setting will cancel after the shot is taken.
