Pear and Ginger Preserves

Makes 2 cups

pound thinly sliced pears (weigh after peeling and coring)

cup granulated sugar

cup powdered pectin

teaspoon grated fresh lemon zest

Place the pears, sugar, pectin, lemon juice, candied ginger
