In the case of a very irregular tank it would be sensible to bias the calibration points in the area
around the irregularity, as detailed in the example below:

The readings obtained from the tank may be ‘damped’ to reduce any oscillation in values as the
water moves in the tank. The duration of the damping can be changed via the system displays.
