Singulator Plus™ Meter Planting
Follow the steps in “Singulated Planting Overview” on
page 2. At step 2 on page 2, follow the instructions in this
section, which are specific to Singulator Plus™ meters
when used with singulating seed wheels.
Volumetric planting with Singulator Plus™ meters is
covered beginning on page 24. Singulated planting with
finger pickup meters is covered beginning on page 14.
Maximum recommended speed is 7 miles per hour
(11.3 kph), based on maximum meter rpms.
Excess speeds are known to deteriorate seed spacing
control and depth control.
For your crop, verify that you have the correct seed
wheels, and that your population and proposed field
speed are within limits for that wheel. See “Reading a
Singulated Rate Chart” below.
When ordering seed wheels, note that there are different
part numbers for:
10HD/25P Series (
wheels) and
20P Series ( wheels).
Reading a Singulated Rate Chart
• Consult the chart for your crop, meter wheel, cell
count, and row spacing. Some crops have multiple
seed wheels and pages.
• Find the table section for your row spacing.
• For your proposed ground speed, make sure your
population or seed spacing is within range.
• Note minimum and maximum meter wheel rpms for
that population.
• Enter the population and wheel cell count in the seed
monitor.
