Console Operating Keys
Refer to Figure 8
• ON/VR key: Turns drive system on. Press
twice for VR mode. Note: Engage key must
also be pressed to start drive operation.
• OFF key: Used to shut off Console.
• FUNCTION key: Used in calibration mode
and to program Console for VR recipes.
• Up/Down arrow keys: Used to change rates
manually, to set calibration numbers and VR
controller options.
• ENGAGE key: Press to start drive. Note:
Drive will not run unless light above key is il-
luminated.
Calibration
Refer to Figure 9
Set range on both sides of the drill to Drive Type 4,
then refer to the calibration chart on page 16 and
adjust the feeder cup adjustment that corre-
sponds to the crop you are planting and row
spacing of your drill.
IMPORTANT: If the feeder adjustment does
not match the chart. the drill will not plant the
desired rate. Great Plains strongly encourag-
es operating the calibration routine at the aver-
age speed that you will be planting.
Refer to Figure 10
Turn on the Controller Console by pressing the
ON/VR key. The green light above the ON/VR key
will illuminate when power is on. Adjust desired
planting rate by using the Up or Down arrow keys
to change the set rate.
