1. Tack weld pivot hole spider on top as illustrated in Figure 3.1. Although the
drawings do not show the safety mesh, only the mesh rods at the pivot hole
should be removed, leaving the remainder of the cage intact.
Important:
Pivot spider is only tack welded for proper positioning.
2. Once it is tack welded, swing the motor mount the full 360°. Make sure it
does not catch on the guard cage or the transport hitch, and ensure the pivot
hole plate is near level with the ground when the auger is in the working
position.
3. Weld securely. Refer to Figure 3.1.

Note:
The end of the auger bearing to the center of the pivot hole should measure
approximately 9”.
