If you want all subjects from 15” to 18” to be in focus, then

find those distances on the silver inner ring of the Zone Dial.

Example: Given a 35mm camera, a 50mm focal

length, and a depth-of-field of 15” - 18”.

Step 1 - On the Zone Dial side of the Depth-of-Field

Guide, find the range of distances that you would like to be

in focus.
