Testing the measuring cell
To test the measuring cell, proceed as follows:
Testing the measuring cell
Preconditions:
■
The measuring cell is completely assembled (see measuring cell man-
ual).
■
The working electrode and the reference electrode are inserted (see
measuring cell manual).
1 Connect the measuring cell
■
Connecting the measuring cell input:
– When the preheating capillary is used: Use a pressure
screw (6.2744.014) to fasten a piece of the PEEK capillary
(6.1831.010) to the Eluent to cell connector on the
detector.
Use a pressure screw (6.2744.014) to fasten the other end
to the In connector on the measuring cell.
– If the preheating capillary is not used: Use a pressure screw
(6.2744.014) to fasten the detector input capillary directly
to the In connector on the measuring cell.
■
Connecting the measuring cell output:
Use a pressure screw (6.2744.014) to fasten the tested detector
output capillary to the Out connector on the measuring cell (see
"Testing the detector output capillary", page 24).
2 Insert the measuring cell
Insert the chip of the measuring cell into the cell holder so that you
can hear it locking in.
