5 Installing the peristaltic pump
■
Install pump tubings.
■
Connect aspirating capillaries for the regeneration solution and
the rinsing solution.
6 Installing the MSM-HC
■
Connect the MSM-HC capillary labeled with H2SO4 to the outlet
of the pump tubing for the regeneration solution.
■
Connect the MSM-HC capillary labeled with H2O to the outlet of
the pump tubing for the rinsing solution.
■
Guide the two MSM-HC capillaries labeled with Waste through an
instrument's capillary feed-through to the waste container and fix
them there.
7 Connecting the instrument
■
Connect the instrument to the PC (see Chapter 3.22.1, page
69).
■
Connect instrument to mains supply (see Chapter 3.22.2, page
69).
8 Initial start-up
■
Switch on the PC and start MagIC Net.
■
Switch on and prepare the instrument.
■
Deaerating the high pressure pump.
■
Rinse the instrument without column(s).
9 Connecting the columns
■
Remove the 6.2744.040 coupling between the column inlet capil-
lary and the MSM-HC capillary labeled with Eluent.
■
Install the guard column (if used) (see "Connecting and rinsing
the guard column", page 71).
■
Install the separation column (see "Connecting and rinsing the
separation column", page 73).
10 Conditioning the instrument
The instrument is now ready for measuring samples.
