MCS – vacuum pump
defective.

Background conduc-
tivity too high
MSM-HC – not connected.
Connecting the MSM-HC (see Chapter 3.18,

MCS – not connected.
Connect the MCS.
Incorrect eluent.
Change eluent (see Chapter 5.4.2.3, page 80).
MSM-HC – regeneration or
rinsing solution flow prob-
lems.
Check the flow of the regeneration and rinsing
solution (see Chapter 3.18.2, page 55).
Data of the separa-
tion column cannot
be read.
Column chip contamina-
ted.
Clean contact surfaces of the column chip
(with alcohol).
Column chip defective.
1. Save column configuration in MagIC Net.
2. Notify Metrohm Service.
