14. HEATER EXPANSION
The Btu/hr input and the tube length determine the overall expansion that occurs in a tube
system. A typical infrared tube installation will expand toward both the Burner and the vent
end. In order to address this issue it is suggested that the gas line, flue vent, and combustion air
intake (if used) shall be installed in such a manner, that the normal expansion of the heater will
be accommodated.
