CAUTION
Closed Loop
A closed loop exhaust monitoring system is not only critical to fuel economy on fuel injected motorcycles but also to engine performance. A
closed loop system operates with the goal of achieving performance gains for a motorcycle by reading oxygen sensors (not included) mounted in
a motorcycle exhaust stream. The oxygen sensors in turn tell the ECM to deliver more or less fuel to the engine depending on throttle position and
engine load. With this feature incorporated into the S&S® EFI wire harness, engine protection is constantly monitored in an effort to provide the
customer with a superior product.

In order to benefit from the full capabilities of this product the following components listed below are recommended. Other aftermarket or OEM
components may be substituted but may require additional labor.
NOTE: Some components may be supplied with an S&S complete engine kit.
S&S knock sensor kit for 2001-’07 Delphi® style modules (see knock sensor mounting location and installation to determine which kit is needed)

Harley-Davidson® bank angle sensor H-D® #32495-98
•
Aftermarket turn signal cancellation module or 2001-’08 Harley-Davidson Dyna®, Softail®, and FL™ twelve pin TSMs
•
NOTE: If using an OEM TSM, a constant 12 volt fused power must be supplied to the #1 pin of the 12 pin TSM connector.
S&S oxygen sensor service kit S&S PN 106-2061 and oxygen sensor boss PN 55-1593
•
NOTE: Quantity of two PN 106-2061 and PN55-1593 are required.
Coils such as S&S PN 55-1576 or 1999-’05 carbureted Harley-Davidson Dyna models, 2000-’05 carbureted Softail model, 1999-‘01 fuel injected FLs, and

1999-’05 carbureted FLs
S&S USB Delphi style VFI Module PN 55-5090 for 2001 Harley-Davidson Softail and all 2002-’07 models or a Harley-Davidson equivalent module.

NOTE: S&S PN 55-5090 comes with an ECM that is not calibrated but a calibration CD is supplied. S&S recommends that all calibrations be performed by
a certified dealer.

Variable Fuel Injection (VFI) requires training and certification to work on it properly. S&S strongly recommends you take your motorcycle
to an S&S certified VFI center for any VFI or closed loop variable fuel injection (CLVFI) modifications.
