Lifting and Moving the Series 322 Load Frame
Prerequisites
You will need the following equipment:
•
A fork lift or overhead crane capable of lifting the load unit. Ensure that the lifting equipment can
accommodate the weight of the load unit (see the table below)
•
Lifting slings—not chains—to lift the load unit from its pallet
•
Lifting chains to tip the load frame upright
•
Rubber mats for the load unit’s feet to rest on
•
Wooden blocks for the load unit's columns to rest on
•
A knife to cut the packing straps
•
Torque wrenches:
322.21 – 700 lbf·ft (950 N·m) capacity
322.31 – 1400 lbf·ft (1900 N·m) capacity
322.41 – 1400 lbf·ft (1900 N·m) capacity
•
Molykote G-n paste
Inspect for shipping damage. Look for the following:
•
Scratches in the load unit or lift cylinder columns
•
Damaged electrical connections
•
Damaged hydraulic connections
•
Dents and other structural damage
•
Torn, kinked, or breaking hoses
Report any damage found to both the carrier and to MTS. In the U.S. and Canada, call MTS Technical Support
